Every company has an official history. But every creative journey has a moment that feels more personal than any date on paper.
For Anamya Productions, that moment was 13 July 2021.
It was the COVID era. India was still living through uncertainty, loss, disrupted careers, financial pressure and a world that suddenly seemed far more fragile than before.
At that time, Apoorv Chaturvedi was an actor working in Mumbai, increasingly drawn towards writing and storytelling.
The pandemic changed the way he observed life. He began looking beyond what was happening on the surface and towards the emotions underneath it — the fear behind decisions, the uncertainty behind ambition, the pressure behind money, and the quiet battles people were fighting every day.
Those observations slowly turned into stories.
One of them became Shadows of Life, a social-impact film shaped by the emotional realities of the COVID period. It explored what often remains unseen — vulnerability, human relationships, silent struggles and the shadows that exist behind seemingly ordinary lives.
At the same time, another thought was taking shape.
India’s startup conversation was increasingly being driven by funding rounds, valuations, rapid growth and the idea of overnight success. Apoorv wanted to explore a different question:
That question became Money Tree.
The film was built around a simple but increasingly relevant belief: funding can accelerate a journey, but it cannot replace patience, discipline, execution or the ability to create real value.
In a world constantly searching for faster results, the film explored the importance of sustainable growth and the power of what may be called slow money — progress built steadily, thoughtfully and without depending on shortcuts.
The principle was almost old-fashioned in its simplicity:
And with Shadows of Life and Money Tree, the creative journey of Anamya Productions began.
The First Roll
There was no grand launch.
No elaborate announcement.
No sense that a larger production journey was beginning.
There were simply two stories, a small creative team, a camera and the conviction to start.
One photograph from that day remains deeply significant.
It shows Apoorv Chaturvedi’s mother performing the puja before the first production began. She is a Director of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and that image continues to represent the blessings with which the journey started.
Also closely involved was Saumya Chaturvedi, Director of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. who was heading the Art Direction for the production.
It was a modest beginning.
A puja.
A family.
A few people creating together.
Two films with something meaningful to say.
And a camera ready to roll.
Sometimes, the most important beginnings do not look important while they are happening.
Only time gives them context.
As of 13 August 2026, more than five years have passed since that first production.
And yet, looking back, it still feels remarkably close.
What began with two social-impact films has grown into the wider creative journey of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. working across AV production, advertising films, government communication, social-impact communication, corporate films, animation, VFX, post-production and creative technology.
But the philosophy behind those first projects still feels relevant.
Shadows of Life was about seeing what lies beneath the surface.
Money Tree was about understanding that lasting success does not always come quickly.
In many ways, Anamya’s own growth has followed the same rhythm.
Project by project.
Relationship by relationship.
Capability by capability.
Lesson by lesson.
Not through one dramatic moment, but through continuous work, patience and evolution.
For Anamya Productions 13 July 2021 represents the beginning of its creative and production journey.
It is not about presenting a legal incorporation milestone.
It is about remembering the day the work truly began.
Before the wider production ecosystem, there were two films.
Before larger teams and expanding capabilities, there was one camera.
Before Apoorv Chaturvedi’s role as Managing Director of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., there was an actor in Mumbai trying to turn observation into writing and writing into cinema.
Beside him was a family that was already part of that first creative effort.
His mother gave the production her blessings.
And together, they began something whose scale and direction could not yet be predicted.
That is perhaps the most beautiful part of any beginning.
You rarely know what it will become.
You only know that you believe in it enough to start.

Looking back from August 2026, we know that this was where the creative story of Anamya Productions truly began.
