The idea that serious creative work can only happen in metros is so deeply baked into the system that most young people don't even question it. But let's call it what it is: a talent drain. Every cinematographer who relocates to Andheri, every editor who sets up shop in Bandra, every screenwriter grinding it out in a Goregaon co-working space, all represent the creative force that Uttar Pradesh trained, nurtured, and then lost. The reason? The infrastructure wasn't here. The opportunities weren't here. The industry wasn't here.
We asked ourselves a simple question during the COVID lockdowns: if the film industry can shut down entirely in Mumbai overnight, why are we still treating it as the only option for UP's talent?
That question became the foundation of everything Anamya has built since.
Our Origin Story : While the pandemic brought most of the entertainment world to a halt, it forced Our Founder Mr. Apoorv Chaturvedi, who already was an actor, to think, structure, and build. Production houses across the country were going dark. He decided to go deeper. During those locked-down months, he invested in infrastructure, expanded post-production capabilities, onboarded technical talent locally, and began laying the groundwork for what he believed Lucknow could be a genuine creative hub, not a feeder city for someone else's industry. What started as survival became strategy. What began as necessity became vision. By the time the industry opened back up, Anamya wasn't just operational; we were ahead. And we had a clearer sense than ever of what we were building: not just a production company, but a creative ecosystem designed to keep UP's best talent at home.

Pre-Production: Where Stories Are Made
Great productions begin long before a camera is switched on. At Anamya, pre-production is a fully staffed, fully operational department, not an afterthought. We work with local writers, screenwriters, and creative strategists to develop scripts and concepts that reflect authentic regional voices. UP has stories that need to be told on its own terms, not filtered through a Mumbai sensibility. That's what our pre-production team exists to do.
Production: Cameras, Crews, and Cinematography
Anamya runs active production operations across Uttar Pradesh and beyond, with a crew setup that includes Directors of Photography (DOPs), directors, production managers, and on-ground teams capable of handling everything from government campaigns to brand films to cinematic narratives. We are empanelled with DAVP / Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, which speaks to the scale and credibility of what we produce.
Post-Production: The Engine Room
This is where Anamya has invested most heavily and for good reason. Post-production is the discipline most often outsourced out of UP. Editors, colorists, sound designers, and VFX artists typically have to move to get serious work. Not anymore.
