Anamya Productions Announces Its Most Ambitious Global 3D Animated Franchise, Expected in August 2027

Written By: Team Anamya

After developing Rango Tango Season 1 as a 3D animated children’s property created for vertical viewing, Anamya Productions & Consultancy Private Limited is preparing for the most ambitious creative and production leap in its journey so far.
The company is now developing its first horizontal-format global 3D animated series—an original franchise created in India, featuring characters from different parts of the world and unfolding within an expansive new fictional universe.
Expected to launch in August 2027, the upcoming series will bring together international-scale world-building, distinctive characters, cinematic entertainment and the impact-driven storytelling philosophy that forms a central part of Anamya Productions’ creative identity.
The project marks a decisive expansion of the company’s animation ambitions. It moves beyond the mobile-first vertical format explored through Rango Tango and enters a larger storytelling space intended for horizontal viewing, long-form narratives and international audiences.

Anamya Productions Announces Its Most Ambitious Global 3D Animated Franchise, Expected in August 2027

Anamya Productions plans to make a detailed announcement about the series from Cannes, France, in October 2026. Until then, the official title, storyline, characters and visual identity of the universe will remain under wraps.

What has been confirmed is the project’s larger creative ambition: to build an original animated universe from India that aspires to international standards of storytelling, design and production while remaining distinctive in its approach. Rather than being shaped by short-lived industry trends, the series will be guided by its own creative language, narrative identity and long-term vision.

Impact, emotion and entertainment will not be treated as separate elements. They will be designed to exist organically within the characters, conflicts and world of the show.

From Rango Tango to a Globally Positioned Animated Franchise

Rango Tango Season 1 marked an important stage in the development of Anamya Productions as an original-content and animation studio.

Described by the company as India’s first 3D animated children’s show developed in a vertical format, Rango Tangoallowed the creative team to experiment with storytelling designed specifically for mobile screens. Its framing, pacing, character placement and visual movement were conceived around a vertical viewing experience.

The upcoming series will take a fundamentally different creative and production approach.

Developed in the horizontal format, the project will offer a wider visual canvas for cinematic environments, ensemble staging, action, atmosphere and detailed world-building. The format will also support a more expansive visual language suited to long-form storytelling and international entertainment platforms.

However, this transition is not simply about changing the orientation of the screen.

It represents Anamya’s movement from a regionally developed children’s property towards the creation of a much larger original Indian animated franchise for global audiences.

The new series will require deeper character journeys, a more layered screenplay, detailed visual development and a fictional universe capable of evolving across multiple episodes and potentially beyond its first season.

For Anamya Productions, the project represents a paradigm-level leap in creative ambition, production scale and international positioning.

An Original 3D Animated Universe with Characters from Around the World

One of the defining features of the upcoming series will be its international ensemble of characters.

The show is being developed around personalities connected to different parts of the world, bringing varied backgrounds, experiences and perspectives into a single narrative universe.

The names, nationalities and identities of the characters have not yet been publicly disclosed. However, their differences are expected to play a meaningful role in the story rather than functioning only as visual representation.

Creating a globally relevant animated series requires more than placing characters from different countries within the same frame. Each character must possess an individual personality, emotional history, motivation and worldview.

Their backgrounds should influence how they think, communicate, collaborate and respond to challenges without reducing them to cultural stereotypes. At the same time, their journeys must connect with emotions that can travel across borders—friendship, responsibility, courage, identity, belonging, trust and ambition.

This balance between cultural individuality and emotional universality will be central to the development of the show.

The universe surrounding the characters is also expected to become one of the franchise’s strongest creative elements.

Rather than functioning merely as a backdrop, the world will carry its own visual identity, internal logic, history, environments, conflicts and narrative possibilities. Its rules will influence the choices of the characters and shape the larger direction of the series.

A carefully developed animated universe can support new locations, evolving relationships, long-term character arcs and future story extensions. It allows audiences to feel that the world exists beyond the immediate boundaries of a single scene or episode.

Anamya has deliberately chosen not to reveal the genre, central conflict or principal characters at this stage. These details are expected to form part of the detailed announcement planned from Cannes in October 2026.

A Series Designed to Establish Its Own Creative Identity

The upcoming franchise is being developed with the intention of creating a show that feels original in its approach rather than derivative of whatever is currently popular in the global animation market.

Anamya Productions does not intend to build the series around temporary visual trends, familiar character formulas or market-driven imitation. The creative direction will instead focus on developing a distinctive world, recognisable character language and narrative identity that can sustain the franchise over time.

The objective is not simply to make an Indian series that resembles an international production.

The objective is to create an original animated property from India that can stand within the international entertainment landscape on the strength of its own storytelling, design, animation and emotional depth.

This requires a disciplined balance between creative originality and global accessibility.

The show must be culturally grounded without becoming geographically limited. Its themes must be meaningful without becoming instructional. Its visual language must feel contemporary without being dependent on passing styles. Its characters must remain distinctive while still being emotionally relatable to audiences across cultures.

This approach will guide the series from screenplay and visual development to animation, editing and final delivery.

Impact-Driven Storytelling at the Heart of the Franchise

The creative foundation of the upcoming series will be rooted in impact-driven storytelling.

Anamya Productions has developed its wider identity around purpose-led audiovisual communication, including social-impact films, sustainability narratives, CSR and ESG communication, policy-driven content and campaigns designed to create awareness and emotional engagement.

The new animated franchise will extend this philosophy into original global entertainment.

However, impact will not be positioned as a message added on top of the story. It will be woven naturally into the world, relationships, conflicts, choices and consequences that shape the series.

The objective is to create a show that works as compelling entertainment—driven by imagination, emotion, action, humour, discovery and character—while still carrying ideas that encourage empathy, awareness and reflection.

This distinction is essential.

Audiences do not connect with stories only because their messages are important. They connect with memorable characters, emotional stakes, meaningful conflict and worlds they want to explore.

A powerful idea becomes more effective when it is experienced through a character’s journey rather than directly explained to the viewer.

The series will therefore avoid becoming instructional, excessively moralistic or burdened by overt messaging.

Its impact will emerge through storytelling: through the decisions its characters make, the challenges they confront, the relationships they build and the consequences of their actions.

For Anamya Productions, impact-driven storytelling means allowing meaningful ideas to be experienced and felt rather than merely stated.

This balance between purpose and entertainment is expected to become one of the franchise’s defining creative strengths.

Entertainment, Emotion and Meaning Working as One

The upcoming show is being developed with the understanding that entertainment and impact are not opposing creative objectives.

A story can create excitement while also encouraging audiences to think. A character’s journey can be adventurous and humorous while still exploring responsibility, identity, cooperation or the consequences of individual choices.

The purpose of the project is not to interrupt entertainment with a message. It is to create a narrative in which the entertainment itself carries meaning.

The show’s international group of characters will provide a strong foundation for this approach. Their different perspectives can create humour, tension, disagreement, collaboration and emotional growth while opening space for themes relevant to audiences across cultures.

The fictional universe will similarly allow meaningful ideas to be explored through events and consequences rather than exposition.

While the exact impact themes remain undisclosed, the project reflects Anamya’s belief that animation can do more than capture attention. It can create empathy, introduce audiences to unfamiliar perspectives and turn complex ideas into memorable emotional experiences.

Creative Leadership Behind the Global 3D Animated Series

The original concept has been created by Apoorv Chaturvedi, who will also produce the series. As Creator and Producer, he will guide the franchise’s larger vision, production development, international positioning and long-term evolution as an original animated intellectual property from India.

The series will be directed and creatively led by Mrs Chahat Aggarwal, the principal creative force behind Rango TangoSeason 1 and a defining contributor to its success. Her leadership shaped the show’s storytelling, characters, emotional identity and creative direction. Following her successful work on Rango Tango, she has been entrusted with the larger responsibility of leading Anamya’s first globally positioned 3D animated series.

As Director and Creative Head, Chahat will oversee the narrative, character journeys, emotional continuity and overall visual language of the franchise. Her supervision will extend from screenplay development and world-building to visual development, animation, editing and final presentation, ensuring that every department works towards one unified creative vision.

The scripting and screenplay will be written by Naimish Gandhi, who will translate the original concept into a structured episodic narrative. His work will define the characters, conflicts, dramatic progression and internal logic of the universe, allowing the world to reveal itself naturally through the experiences and decisions of its characters.

Bhuvan Sharma will serve as Animation Head, leading the animation division and overseeing the integration of the complete CG production pipeline. Working closely with the respective teams, he will supervise modelling, rigging, surfacing, texturing, look development, animation, lighting, rendering and compositing, with a focus on visual continuity, technical consistency and execution aligned with international production benchmarks.

Bhuvan has played an important role in strengthening Anamya’s animation capabilities. His contribution to Rango Tangohelped elevate its animation quality, production discipline and overall visual execution. He will also contribute to screenplay development as an Animation and Visual Storytelling Advisor, helping the creative team assess character movement, action staging, cinematic scale and the practical translation of scripted sequences into 3D animation.

The visual-development stage will be led by Rajesh Verma and Shivani, who will oversee character concept design, environment concept art, prop design, keyframe illustrations and scene-level visual development.

Drawing from traditional sketching, fine art, mural art and digital illustration, they will bring texture, cultural depth and artistic individuality to the characters and environments. Their work will establish the mood, design language and world-building foundation that will guide the modelling, surfacing, lighting and environment-production teams through the final 3D execution.

The production is also expected to bring on board more than 50 additional artists, technicians and creative professionals from across the animation industry, contributing to the various stages of visual development, asset creation, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, sound and post-production.

Together, the leadership team and wider production crew will build a series with a distinct creative identity—developed through original thinking, unified artistic direction and a production approach designed for audiences across cultures. Anamya Studio VFX to Lead the Project’s Studio Execution

Anamya Studio VFX, the dedicated post-production wing of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Private Limited, will serve as the principal studio partner for the upcoming series.

The studio will lead the animation and post-production execution of the project, bringing together the creative, artistic and technical departments required to build and deliver its global 3D universe.

Its responsibilities will extend across the coordinated production pipeline, including visual development, character and environment asset creation, 3D modelling, rigging, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, editing, colour finishing, sound integration and final mastering.

The series will be developed through a unified creative and technical workflow.

While the animation and post-production teams will focus on performance, visual quality and technical consistency, continuous supervision from the Creative Head will ensure that every production decision remains connected to the story.

Each environment, character movement, camera choice, visual effect, colour treatment and sound element will be evaluated not only for its technical quality but also for its emotional and narrative purpose.

This integrated structure will allow Anamya Productions and Anamya Studio VFX to develop the series within one connected production ecosystem—from concept creation, screenplay and visual development to animation, post-production and final delivery.

For Anamya Studio VFX, the project will also represent a defining production milestone.

Leading the execution of an original global 3D animated franchise will demonstrate the studio’s evolution from providing professional animation and post-production services to managing the creative and technical production of a complex long-form intellectual property.

A Paradigm-Level Leap from a Regional Studio

The scale of the upcoming series becomes particularly significant when viewed in the context of Anamya’s regional roots.

The company is developing its creative, animation and post-production capabilities from Uttar Pradesh while building an original franchise intended for international audiences.

This represents a substantial transition from functioning primarily as a regional audiovisual production company to developing long-term entertainment IP with global ambitions.

An original animated series demands sustained coordination across screenplay development, character design, environment creation, modelling, rigging, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, sound, editing, marketing and distribution planning.

It also demands consistency.

Characters must remain visually and emotionally coherent across episodes. The rules of the fictional universe must be clearly established. The narrative must deliver a satisfying experience while leaving sufficient space for the world and its characters to evolve.

This is why the project represents a paradigm-level leap for Anamya Productions.

It reflects the company’s intention to participate in the global animation ecosystem not merely as a service provider, but as the creator, producer and studio force behind an original animated franchise.

The final success of the project will depend on the quality of its storytelling, animation, world-building, distribution and audience response. However, undertaking a project of this scale marks an important creative transition for the company.

Detailed Announcement Planned from Cannes in October 2026

Anamya Productions plans to make a detailed announcement about the series from Cannes, France, in October 2026.

The announcement is expected to reveal more about the title, characters, visual identity, fictional universe and broader international direction of the project.

For Anamya, Cannes will provide an important setting in which to introduce the series within a wider entertainment ecosystem involving studios, producers, broadcasters, distributors, platforms and potential international collaborators.

However, no official distribution, streaming, broadcasting or co-production partnership has been announced at this stage.

The company has also not disclosed whether the project will be presented through a formal pitch, private industry meetings or an independent announcement during its presence in Cannes.

Any such development will be communicated only after it has been formally confirmed.

Release Platform and Partners Remain Undisclosed

The upcoming 3D animated series is currently expected to launch in August 2027.

However, Anamya Productions has not yet disclosed where the series will premiere.

There is currently no confirmed public information regarding a streaming platform, television network, digital channel, broadcaster, distributor, sales agent, licensing company or co-production partner associated with the project.

The company is introducing the series first as an original creative property rather than attaching it prematurely to a particular platform.

This allows the identity of the franchise—its characters, universe, storytelling and purpose—to remain at the centre of its early positioning.

The eventual release and partnership strategy may evolve through conversations held during and after the detailed announcement in Cannes.

Until a formal announcement is made, no platform or partnership should be treated as confirmed.

What Audiences Can Expect Next

The period between the October 2026 announcement and the expected August 2027 launch will represent an important development and reveal phase for the project.

The company is expected to gradually introduce the show’s title, central characters, first-look visuals and fictional universe. However, a formal promotional timeline has not yet been announced.

For viewers familiar with Rango Tango, the upcoming series will present a substantially different creative experience.

It will move from vertical, mobile-first storytelling to a horizontal cinematic canvas. It will expand from a children’s property rooted in a particular setting to a global ensemble of characters placed within a larger fictional universe.

It will also carry forward Anamya’s impact-driven storytelling philosophy at a much greater creative and production scale.

For the wider Indian animation industry, the project will be worth observing as an example of a growing regional studio attempting to develop original intellectual property for international audiences while maintaining its own creative identity.

Created in India, Built for the World and Driven by Impact

Anamya Productions’ upcoming animated franchise is more than its next project after Rango Tango.

It represents a transition from a vertical-format children’s property to a horizontal global 3D animated series; from individual content production to long-term franchise development; and from a regional creative base to an international entertainment ambition.

The series will be creatively led by Mrs Chahat Aggarwal, with the screenplay written by Naimish Gandhi and animation headed by Bhuvan Sharma.

The original concept has been created by Apoorv Chaturvedi, who will also produce the series.

Anamya Studio VFX, the post-production wing of Anamya Productions & Consultancy Private Limited, will serve as the principal studio partner leading its animation and post-production execution.

The official title, central storyline, complete character line-up, release platform and potential partners remain undisclosed. More information is expected to be announced from Cannes, France, in October 2026.

The series is currently expected to launch in August 2027.

For Anamya Productions, this is not simply the beginning of another animated show.

It is the beginning of an original universe—created in India, developed to international standards, built for the world and driven by stories that entertain, connect and create impact.
